Long Island Nail & Skin Care Institute is dedicated to arming our students with the best knowledge available. Our beauty school provides technical, hands-on, and theoretical knowledge to students who go on to work all over Long Island, New York, and even throughout the country.

Mission Statement

Our goal is not only to provide the necessary education required to prepare for and pass the state board licensing examinations, but for our graduates to become successful professionals in the beauty and wellness industry. Our team of globally-recognized educators, combined with a state-of-the-art facility, and the most up to date equipment and techniques allows us to exceed all state requirements, giving our students a competitive edge.

Institute's Facilities

Our facility is a 12,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art learning environment. Along with our large classrooms, we also have practice areas, a lecture center, retail center, and professional service facility. As of January 2006, the Institute was selected by New York State to become the second test site for the Esthetician Practical Exam in the Metropolitan area. Our lecture center is used by manufacturers, educators, medical doctors, and invited guests who address our students on topics ranging from industry products to the latest in medical procedures. Ample parking is provided, and we are easily accessible via all major highways and all public transportation.

Admissions Requirements

Admission to the Institute is open to all who are over the age of 17 and have obtained the minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. High School Diplomas and transcripts from other countries are acceptable toward the student eligibility general requirement, as long as the diploma is equivalent to a United States High School Diploma and is translated into English.

Students are required to have their credential evaluated by a company that offers such a service. Please ask the Admissions Department for the company we recommend. Please note there is a fee for this service that the student is responsible for.

With proper documentation, it is our policy to grant credit for hours spent at similar schools. We require an official transcript from the prior school. The student must also be evaluated through a combination of written and practical knowledge testing to determine the amount of hours to be credited.
